Webhooks
Webhooks in the tenant menu (owners and admins) send a message when something happens to the tenant’s servers: to a Discord channel, or as JSON to Home Assistant, n8n or your own code.
Add a webhook
Section titled “Add a webhook”- Add webhook: a name, the URL, and the events.
- Format:
- Automatic: a Discord message for Discord’s webhook URLs, JSON otherwise.
- Discord message
- JSON for your own code (signed): the signing secret is shown once, after creating or when it is replaced.
- Test sends a
pingand shows the answer.
Each webhook’s card lists its recent deliveries with the answer, e.g. HTTP 400 or the reason it couldn’t connect. Webhooks can be edited later; a Discord URL is shown shortened, because its end lets anyone post.
Events
Section titled “Events”| Event | When |
|---|---|
| Server starts, stops or crashes | the server has been running, offline or installFailed for 15 seconds, and that differs from the last message (a restart or reinstall doesn’t send a burst) |
| An install finished (or failed) | after an install or reinstall |
| A server was created | |
| A server was deleted |
Delivery
Section titled “Delivery”- Any
2xxanswer counts as delivered; otherwise the panel retries after 1, 2, 4… up to 60 minutes, 8 attempts in total. - Redirects are not followed.
- Private addresses (LAN, loopback, cloud metadata) are refused unless Webhooks to the local network is on in Admin → Settings (on by default for homelabs, off for hosting).
The JSON format and how to verify signatures: Webhook events.
